My vet recommended my 12yr old cat should eat low fat to help him recover from pancreatitis. It's taken a a few weeks perseverance and slowly mixing this with his usual food but now this is the food he prefers and he'll clean the bowl. I don't restrict how many pouches he has but he gets regular small meals and i think he is having 2.5 to 3 a day as well as free feeding Applaws biscuits.

We have a rescue cat who was rather chubby when we got him. We easily switched to Royal Canin Light, he loves it and it helps keeping his weight down
