This PURINA PRO PLAN Veterinary Diets OM Obesity Management is a complete dietetic food to support reduction of excessive body weight in adult dogs, as well as helping to regulate glucose supply in dogs with diabetes mellitus. It has reduced metabolisable energy and low levels of total sugars, including both mono- and disaccharides. The low glycaemic index carbohydrates choices can also be beneficial in nutritionally managing diabetes mellitus.
PURINA PRO PLAN Veterinary Diets OM Obesity Management also contains high protein levels, which can help your dog to maintain its muscle mass during fat loss. The lower calorie levels help to assist in weight loss, whilst this kibble remains high in flavour.

Weight-loss:
To support efficient weight loss or the maintenance of a healthy bodyweight, it is recommended not to feed your dog more than its recommended daily energy intake. Always follow the advice of your veterinarian in order to achieve and subsequently maintain your dog's goal weight. The feeding duration for regulating glucose supply is initially up to 6 months.
It is recommended that you seek veterinary advice prior to using this food. Ensure fresh drinking water is always available.
In order to reduce your dog's weight and achieve a healthier weight, we recommend feeding a combination of wet and dry food. Per additional 5kg bodyweight, feed an additional 20g dry food or 1/4 can wet food per day during weight loss and an additional 40g dry food or 1/2 can wet food during maintenance.
