Cat Mate Filter

I bought the fountain a year ago: it's not super quiet but it's not too noisy either (I don't mind the noise, but my partner does); The water needs to be changed every 2 days and the fountain has to be cleaned (otherwise it gets slimy); once a week you need to clean the pump; the filters should be replaced once a month; It's not the easiest thing to clean because of all the corners. Despite regular maintenance (every week), it gave up on me after just 1 year and 2 months. No more warranty.

I bought the Cat Mate for my tabby girls 8 weeks ago. They're still absolutely thrilled with it. What I really like about the device is that you can refill the filters yourself using aquarium filter materials :) What I like less is that, firstly, the pump has been getting louder over the past 4 weeks and has now stopped working altogether, and secondly, that the replacement filters are outrageously expensive at 3 euros each.
