Our tomcats fit in perfectly. The handle on the lid was very difficult to attach. We left off the clips on the sides so you can just lift the hood off easily for cleaning. I don't know what the filter is supposed to be for—the flap at the front has such a big gap at the bottom that smells still get out. But compared to the open one, it's still within reason. Otherwise, we're very satisfied. Especially with diarrhoea, it keeps the walls clean. All the cats accepted it.
