Vetbed® Original Pet Blanket - Grey

I bought Vetbed for our 1 year old Doberman after reading the product description and many reviews extolling its virtues of comfort, durability and chew resistance (our girl likes to chew!!). The product is very plush and the backing appears robust so I placed the Vetbed in our pet's crate with great optimism. Exactly 2 minutes and 15 seconds later our girl was tearing it into strips along the weave of the backing. I hastily removed it in case she choked on it. Probably fine for non-chewers.

We use the mats in the whelping box. They let the puppies’ urine pass through, so they stay pretty dry and are really warm. But definitely wash them a few times and put them in the tumble dryer before using them for puppies. All new Vetbeds shed fluff, which doesn’t matter much with big dogs, but puppies suck it in and that’s very dangerous.
