Warning: this bowl model doesn’t detect the cat’s microchip and opens whenever any animal passes in front of it, no matter which animal. I had the other model that works with the microchip for several years and was very happy with it. When I bought the bowl again, the other one wasn’t available and I thought this was the new model. But that’s not the case—this one only works by detecting movement. I think the price is excessive for what it does.
