Hill's Prescription Diet Feline y/d Thyroid Care with Chicken is designed to support thyroid and kidney health in cats. The food has reduced iodine levels and also contains limited phosphorus and sodium. To help to manage your cat's health condition, administer this dietetic wet cat food to your cat exclusively for three weeks. At the end of this period, you should be able to observe a marked improvement in their thyroxine counts. As part of the special diet, you should avoid feeding your cat any extra snacks or treats in between meals.
The food has a tailored recipe containing valuable animal protein from chicken and other animal sources. A balanced mixture of vitamins and minerals provide your cat with everything it needs for optimal bodily functions and immune resilience. The wet food has great taste that your cat will love and comes in practical ring-pull tins for easy serving and portioning.

Hill's Prescription Diet Feline y/d Thyroid Care is a complete wet food for adult cats. Supplements other than Hill's Prescription Diet Feline y/d Thyroid Care are not necessary and can reduce the effectiveness of the food. For adult cats: These are recommendations only. Your pet may need less or more food to maintain proper weight. Adjust as needed. If you are feeding this food to your cat for the first time, mix a little y/d in with your cat’s normal food at first and then gradually increase the proportions over the course of 7 days until the cat is wholly fed with y/d.

It works
Please see my review for the dried food for a complete review of thyroid care cat food and the turnaround of our sixteen year old cat's general weight and overall health. It would be nice to have more than one flavour, but our cat is not concerned! It tends to dry out in the bowl quite quickly so only put out what your cat is likely to eat in a couple of hours. But the effect was notcieable afte one week and quite clear after two weeks. This is the only food we now feed with the biscuit.
