Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Hypoallergenic - Insect is a premium complete dry food for adult cats which suffer from nutritional sensitivities, intolerances and dermatosis. Many cats have an adverse reaction to some foods, ingredients or additives. This can result in nutritional intolerances and allergies. When your cat has an allergic reaction to food it is because the immune system is overreacting to certain proteins. Food intolerance is not connected to the immune system. Both allergies and intolerances can cause skin and digestive problems such as itching and diarrhoea.

The best way to establish the cause of food intolerance is to put your pet on an elimination or exclusion diet with limited ingredients and a selected source of animal protein. Skin issues are not just caused by intolerance to certain foods but also a reaction to flea saliva or the environment. A diet with top quality fatty acids helps to support healthy skin.

How can Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Hypoallergenic help your cat?
This premium therapeutic food has been specifically developed to meet the nutritional needs of cats that suffer from food intolerances, allergies and skin problems. In order to reduce the possibility of raw ingredient and nutrient intolerance the only source of protein in this food is dried insect. Excluding commonly used animal protein from your pet's diet helps to lessen the risk of an adverse reaction. to help support skin function in dermatosis and excessive hair loss, this food is enriched with salmon oil which is particularly high in omega-3 and omega 6 fatty acids. Sunflower oil also provides valuable linoleic acid.

Didn’t work for my itchy cat
Tried this as an elimination diet for my main coon who has recently developed pruitus or itchy skin. The cause isn’t clear, all of the obvious things have been ruled out. Unfortunately after 2 weeks eating this his itching actually got worse and has reduced (not gone) since going back to previous one. He did like the taste though! Worth a try but start out with a small bag - that option wasn’t for sale at the time and now I have almost 3kgs I won’t use.

(My cat thinks) its ok. not bad
personally, ingredients are brilliant when the cat has an allergy to chicken. My cat eats these but does not love them.

Fantastic stuff has healed my cats
I switched my 2 cats to this food several months ago because it's the only one that keeps them problem free. For a long while one kitty was quite underweight with diarrhea, and they both had severe skin allergies, covered in nasty sores and coughing up hairballs every day from over grooming. Tufts of fur they pulled out littered the house. I felt so bad for them. Tried all sorts of foods, flea treatments, vet. Nothing helped, until this. Within 2 weeks, all their problems completely disappeared!

saved my cats
My 2 indoor ladies had skin allergies and were covered with sores so itchy they were constantly licking & biting their fur and then vomiting up large daily hairballs. One was also very skinny with runny poos. Tried flea control, vets, steroid shots, many different foods. Nothing helped until we tried this. Within 2 weeks their skin totally cleared up while the skinny one gained weight and both also now have perfect poos. Plus, it's sustainable for the planet!

Miraculous, ecological, ethical.
My cat had his anal sacs removed due to itching/infection and would rip fur out of his bottom in huge clumps. Post-surgery his bottom improved, but not for long. The itching and fur pulling began again in earnest. I transitioned them over 2 weeks and they love it. No more cat snow on the carpet (the least of my concerns), and in 10 days I have seen his bum-scratching only once. The dog's on the canine version too, because I want to reduce my impact on the meat industry. He's sated and glossy.
