Daily feeding amounts:

Weight loss:
Determine the amount to feed your dog based on the target weight, not the current weight.
Weight maintenance:
Weigh your dog regularly as part of its weight maintenance programme and adjust the feeding amounts accordingly.
When you feed your dog Hills Prescription Diet Canine for the first time mix it with your dog's old food. Mix increasing amounts of the new food with decreasing amounts of the old food over a 7 day period until you are only feeding Metabolic to your dog.
Fresh water should be provided at all times.

Diet food.
When zooplus ended their five percent savings plan I had to look around for better prices. Bitiba provided that. This is the only food that keeps my dogs in shape.

I had this prescribed by my Vet, but the mini food , unfortunately when my delivery came a day later , which was really quick, I had ordered the wrong stuff, I now need to reassess and measure correctly.... he loves it though, hoping he does lose the weight too... only bug bear is where does it state the size of the food

Best Diet Food
We were advised to use this by the Dogs Trust when we adopted a morbidly obese Alaskan Malamute. It took us 18 months to get him from 70kg to a healthy 40kg. A combination of this food and progressively increased exercise was definitely the key. We also use the metabolic treats. I cannot recommend it highly enough, it saved his life.

Wow it works!
My spaniel is totally obsessed with food and even though we don't give him treats he very quickly became very overweight. I tried "lite" dog food and no success. I fed him Hills Metabolic and his weight reduced so I then put him back onto ordinary dog food and his weight went back up. His weight is now reducing again with Metabolic food, so this time after he gets down to his target weight, I will keep him on "lite" food.

This really works
This was recommended to me by the vet I use in France before my return to Uk.My 2 black pugs were previously on another so called weight control dried food.I started them on Hills metabolic at the beginning of October.I have not weighed them but I do not need to.I have suddenly noticed the difference.They are sometimes lively( oh dear),shiny coats and bright eyes!Wonderful Hills!

FANTASTIC
Our Cocker Spaniel Abbie had joint problems and seemed an old dog,she was 17kg. I fed her 2x75g per day of "Hills Metabolic" and now she is 14kg and plays like when she was a puppy!Now 8 years old I feed her 2x90g per day (and the odd treat) she has years of joy left for both of us!

After countless diets with our Labrador we have come to this food and it's super. His coat is beautiful and glossy, he's not starving even though we give him a predetermined amount. In just three weeks he lost 3.5 kilos. The food seems to taste good because he always finises everything.

The first diet that really works, our dog nicely lost weight, his paws don't seem to hurt as much from being overweight. As young he weighed 37 kg, over the years he was up to 48 kg and after half a year on hills metabolic he has again 37 kg!!!
