White Fish (110g)

Why have these changed?

My cats used to love these but the last tube I bought was completely different and now they won't touch them
Chicken (200g)

Not what they were

My cat used to love these. However they have completely changed the product. The chicken pieces are now really hard, brittle and dry. Completely different to what the used to be. My cat will not touch these. Such a shame they messed with what was a winning formula....presumably it was to reduce costs etc. But they will lose many, many customers for this....and rightly so.

Not as good as they used to be!

My cat really loves these. But recently there has been a lot of very small sharp pieces in the tin which he spits out, (he actually cut his gum once) I try to take them out but I sometimes miss them. He refuses to eat any sort of meat, cat food or human food, and these are the only things he will eat, so I have to buy them until (or when) he stars eating proper cat food. I've tried just about every brand I can find but he won't touch them!. I left 5 stars just to get my comment printed.

Very Popular!

I have 6 cats and 5 of them love these. They are a great and healthy alternative to normal ‘treats’ as they are pure meat/protein. As soon as I open the lid my cats are on red alert.

Cat is obsessed and big enough to hide medicine

I bought these to hide my cats small tablets in. It works wonders and my cat is obsessed with these treats. Unfortunately the packaging is a little loose so one has to repackage it to keep the smell inside.

My cats absolutely LOVE these

Just moving the tube will make my cats come running! Then the noise of opening the lid gets them vocalising. These are their absolute favourite snacks, quickly followed by the stick-type treats. I usually get Chicken flavour, and sometimes tuna. They love both

Fussy Cat

My cat, Sweep, loves these treats and he's a very fussy eater. They're also great for him as he has to have a low fat diet and I was having trouble finding a low fat treat for him so great in both ways.

Weißfisch (3 x 110 g)

No longer edible

For years, the Snackies were an absolute hit with our four cats, but since the change a few months ago, they won't eat them anymore. Unfortunately, all complaints to the specialist department have so far gone unanswered. Such a shame!

Addictive factor

Both of mine are absolutely crazy about these Snackies. They run all over the hallway and even do somersaults. Unfortunately, I have to deduct a point because, at this price, I have to give them sparingly, and there are often lots of tiny pieces and sometimes even powder in the pack.

Noticeable drop in quality on the large Cosma XXL chicken tins

My cats used to love these, but now they just sniff them and leave the treats on the floor... For the price, it's just not worth it—might as well give them fresh free-range chicken. This should really be reported to the manufacturer, because while we can be fooled, they can't. It's probably the quality of the meat!

Quality is no longer there

Our four cats used to be addicted to the whitefish cubes back when the tins were smaller/lower and the cubes were still white instead of yellow! Now, only one cat will eat the Snackies, and even then with a wrinkled nose... I’ve just bought the super mega deal and HOPE I get the good quality again! Otherwise, this will be my last order!

Super

For many years, this has been my cats' favourite treat. I haven't noticed any changes in the product.

Cosma XXL whitefish

Just saw the same thing. My cat was crazy about it too! Placed an order, noticed the packaging had changed and the kibble was bigger and browner. Now my cat wants nothing to do with it!!😵‍💫 Not a single piece eaten!🤔

Snacks and cans have changed

Our cats have loved these chicken snacks for years. However, they've recently changed (they now come in taller tins) and our cats are now turning their noses up at them. Such a shame, as for one of our cats these were the only snacks she would eat. Sometimes you get lucky and still receive the old version—leftover stock? Or are the old ones secretly making a comeback? We keep hoping, because now I have to disappoint that hopeful little face every time.

Used to be my favourite, not anymore after the change

Since the bigger tubes, my cats won’t eat them anymore, even though they used to love them! I won’t be buying them again, especially with the price – it was already high but has gone up by several euros recently.

What's wrong

We've been ordering the smaller tins for a while now and they were great. But there's definitely something wrong with this big tin. When you open it, it doesn't smell like fish at all, just chemicals (like paint). The cat walks away straight away and won't even touch it, but with the smaller tins we never had this problem. The texture of the chunks is also completely different compared to the smaller tins. The white fish is great, but the salmon is a disaster.

Something's not right

The problem started as soon as I opened the can—it didn’t smell like fish, more like chemicals. Our cat used to eat this treat regularly, but only in the smaller tins, and it was his favourite. (He still does, because we have an even smaller tin and he eats that with gusto.) The texture of the chunks is also completely different. With this big can, he comes up, sniffs it, and immediately walks away. The white fish is great! The salmon is a disaster.

Subscription cancelled

I bought it for years, but the manufacturer changed the recipe. Now my four cats won't eat it anymore—I'm really disappointed.

New recipe is a flop! 😢

Freeze-dried chicken—you wonder how it can suddenly taste so different that it’s no longer considered tasty. My cats used to go crazy for this. Especially my female cat, she would almost kill for it. And now… she won’t touch it at all and doesn’t understand why she suddenly isn’t getting any treats anymore. And it’s bizarre to read that Toby is experiencing exactly the same thing. So Zooplus/Bitiba, please switch back to the old version.

XXL Chicken

I can agree with the comments from the other buyers. For 8 years, my girls looked forward to their treats every evening. Then the recipe was changed, and when it came to treats, I was really at a loss because they wouldn’t accept any alternatives. I’d be absolutely delighted if the manufacturer went back to the old recipe.

Rejected after the change

Like many others, my cats have been turning their noses up at the Snackies ever since the tin was changed. The unpleasant smell was obvious as soon as I opened it, and both of my tomcats immediately turned away and walked off. When I contacted customer service, I only got a half-hearted response offering to let me return part of the product—no answer at all to my question about changes to the recipe or the bad smell. Really disappointing, because the Snackies used to be the absolute favourite for my cats.

No acceptance after changing the ingredients

Before/After each Crude protein: 97.3% / 93.6% Crude fat: 4.1% / 5.8% Crude ash: 5.2% / 3.1% Crude fibre: 2.3% / 0.2% I have 2 BLH cats who used to wolf it down, now they won’t touch it at all. Had a subscription for years for Chicken, Whitefish and Mix. Had to cancel it because I end up throwing everything away.

Cats disappointed, me too

This used to be my cats’ favourite treat, but now they eat it very reluctantly or not at all. Supposedly, only the packaging changed. Unfortunately, along with the packaging, the colour and smell of the food changed too, and most importantly, the pieces are now really hard.

Quality change

The new product is simply awful and my pets refuse to touch it… it's nowhere near as good as it used to be until very recently.

Deficient

Since the can got bigger and now has 91% protein instead of 76%, my cats won’t eat it anymore. Before, they used to devour it. I won’t be buying it again, even though I had it on subscription for years. Really a shame.
