TIAKI Starcats Coffee Scratching Den

It’s absolutely beautiful, especially the lid for scratching – it’s really sturdy for a scratch board! I would have given 5 stars, but the instructions are a bit unclear and we had a few problems with the bottom scratch board. I think it’s too big for the bottom, so we trimmed the edge a bit! Unfortunately, it broke at the bottom during assembly, but we managed to glue it back together really well! My cats love it! For the price, it’s absolutely recommended! I’ve only had it for two days, but the cardboard still looks brand new despite constant use.

Cute design, but absolutely terrible execution. It's almost impossible to insert the base plate without tearing the cover. It was already broken before any cat could even use it. Really disappointing.

The funny design really stands out and my cats love lying in it. However, I would advise against using the little sticky pads that come with it. You're supposed to stick them under the middle level inside, but they don't make any difference to the stability. My crazy cat picked them off and chewed them up. I had to hunt for all the bits to make sure she hadn't swallowed any! That's why I'm knocking off a point. Otherwise, for cardboard, it's a sturdy and very attractive scratching post.
