Perfect size
Within seconds of taking it out of the box, both cats were scratching on it (it was still horizontal at this point!)
My cats are quite large (bengals, around 6kg each) but haven't managed to knock it over, even with both of them scratching on the same side. The younger one will dart to the top and play "king of the castle" without any risk of a wobble.
(her Mum is way too sensible to do this, but if she wasn't such a lazy thing, I'm sure it would take it)

Great post.....but
My two large cats love this, it encourages them to have a good old stretch and since buying it they have left my furnishings alone. Only bad fault is the base, it is very flimsy and within one month of purchase their claws had ripped it to bits which is the only downside.

Cats love this!
I bought this as my kitten loves door frames a bit too much! I just assembled this post and my Exotic Shorthair kitten was immediately taken with it. He loves to climb to the top and then scale his way down coming round the post. Its as tall as my 5yr old son! Great Purchase!

THE BEST CAT SCRATCHER AROUND!!
Purchased this cat scratcher almost a year ago and it is still going strong. My kittens used the scratcher from 6 weeks old climbing and jumping on it and now as fully grown cats they still play on it every day either chasing each other up it on sitting proud on the top. Have recommended it to lots of friends after being recommended by a friend also. I am also a cat fosterer for my local charity so the number of cats that can be hanging off it at one time is hilarious and it never falls over, think it would be pretty much impossible to make this cat stand fall over. Absolute bargain too :)

My cats love it :-)
This is one of the best items I've bought for my 2 boys, they absolutley love it.
It is HUGE and very sturdy, it takes the weight of my biggest boy who is 6.5kg, they both love running up it and sitting on the top and giving it a good scratch, it's great for that long stretch too.
It's purrfect for any sized kitty.
My boys are very happy with it and so am I :-)

Fantastic!
I couldn't quite believe the size of this scratching post when I opened it. It really is huge. Most scratch posts advertised as large don't even allow cats to stretch out, where as my indoor cats can stretch up this one, climb it, hang off it and even sit on top! Even the posts on their extra large cat tree don't allow them to have a good stretch out... so thank you, this is perfect. It took a couple of minutes to construct and they love the box, as usual.

"Love it"
This scratch post is massive. I have 6 cats and my giant boy and 2 little boy kittens are hanging off it as we type. The box it came in is gigantic and fortunately I have a large living room as I have not been able to throw it away as yet due to my cats loving that even more than the post!!!.. This isnt just tall but the actual post is probably about 3 times wider than the average post which was a nice surprise when it came. Very easy to assemble just pop the pole on its end and screw the base on the top. Then turn it right way up.
People have said that it doesnt last very long but in all honesty none of them do if the cats use them to play on all the time like mine do. When this one goes I will definitely replace it with the same thing. The cost of it is amazing compared to a much smaller one you can get elsewhere. Treat your kitty kat, they deserve it!!!

They love it
Yes its big a lot bigger in height and width than I expected. My 2 use it for scratching as they can get a really big stretch. They also love to hug it and run up it and its their main way of reaching their beds on the top of a high set of drawers. They love sitting on the top to be fussed as they are chest high to us, and everyone finds it easier than bending down to them.
If you have the space they are great and good value for money.

Excellent but not the greatest quality
My two Bengals love this, they use it to climb, bounce off it and sit on top. Great success. However, I noticed that after only a week of use, the cord has started separating. There is only one layer so by the cats hanging off it, the cord moves exposing bare column and I started noticing when they jump on it now it has separated, they don't get a good grip. I have a palm tree pole from zooplus which never had the same problem and they abuse it as much.
I think I will try to buy some cord and apply another layer by myself once it gets ruined. If they did this, this pole would be purrrfect

Great for larger Cats
My cat loves this post. He is a large build cat and most other cat posts are too short for him to have a good stretch. A lot of products say they are suitable for large cats when they are not, so I was amazed and over the moon when I received this. He also loved the large box it arrived in which was an added bonus! Fantastic price......what a bargain!

Almost perfect
Much bigger than I expected - although I was looking for something they could really stretch up on. Already the most popular scratch post in the house (I've got several). The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because the sisal rope is a little bit thinner than I'd like and I suspect my Siamese boys will get through it a bit quicker. In the meantime they love it and at such a great price it'll be worth replacing when it wears out.

cat was in shock!
very quick to put together. cat just sat staring at it - looked like he was thinking 'what the hell am i supposed to do with that' must admit i was shocked at the size (didnt read the measurements). one of my cats is very long body and legs, once he decided this was his and he could scratch it as much as he liked he wouldnt leave it alone. he now has his very own gym equipment where he can stretch and climb without it falling over. he has broken 2 previous smaller scratch posts due to putting too much presure on it. this one looks like its going to last, is light weight but has a good base so hasnt fallen over yet. great quality for the price.

sturdy and very big
i was shocked at just how big this was when it arrived. i have two maine coons and a DSH. they all love this and is a big part of their play time. looks great in living room too. it doesnt fall over like other tall scratchers have in the past even with my maine coons running up and down it. recommended :-)

brilliant tree
One of my cats in particular love this tree because it is so tall he can finally stretch all the way up on it unlike other trees we have had.
It was very easy to put together and doesnt take up much space.

So good we bought 2.
This is a fantastic chunky scratching post. We have two large ragdoll cats and they can scratch & stretch fully with some room to spare at the top. They love it so much we came back and bought a second one!

Scratching Post of the year
The XXL Jumbo Scratching Post is fantastic. My Bengal, Rajah, couldn't wait to get his claws into it! He is a big cat, so there is plenty of room on it to stretch! His 2 confedarates, Misti and Suzi (moggies) agreed!
So they have 2 good sized scratching posts, this one and the large one too, so we have 3 very happy cats!

Awesome
Arrived 10 minutes ago, assembled in seconds (2 bolts to attach base to top post) 12 week old kittens were straight to it. Now they are in hyper mode, racing around the room and launching themselves onto the post in a race to see who can get to the top first! Not sure if it's going to get used for scratching but it's doing a good job of being a tree at the moment. My 5 year old cat is not interested in it one bit but it's not been here long and the kittens dominate it so she may use it later. As for build quality it's lightweight but with the base being so large it's not moved a mm even with the kittens launching at it. The sisal is thin compared to others I've got and so is the fabric which my kittens have already started chewing. Will it last long? Who knows, but my cats will have a really good time while it does. I am happy with it and so are the cats. If the sisal does wear out its cheap enough to buy to recover. Buy this if you get the chance especially if you have kittens, they will love it.
