Aluline Double Dog Crate

We chose this box because 1. it was on offer and 2. it would fit perfectly in our boot. We measured and were happy that the dimensions were exactly what we needed. So we ordered it. After 3-4 days, the box arrived. We assembled it the same evening, which wasn’t all that easy. Doing it alone is pretty much impossible. With two people, it’s better... you really have to be precise and sometimes hold the sides together to make sure everything fits correctly and straight. Once finished, the box seemed very sturdy. We liked it, especially the fact that you can just slide the divider in and take it out again whenever you need, without having to unscrew the whole box. Ok... now it was time to see if it would fit in the car. I should mention, it’s very heavy, so I can’t get it in and out by myself. It’s definitely better to do this with two people. We grabbed the box and were pleased with how well we’d put it together and how sturdy and spacious it is. Unfortunately, we then realised that although we’d measured correctly and the box would have fit, we hadn’t taken the boot frame into account... so in the end, we were 1cm short on each side and couldn’t get the box into the car 😈. We tried sliding it in different ways... folded the back seats down, hoping we could turn the box inside the car, but no luck. We were 2cm short 😨😞 of being able to use this great box. What a pain... so we took it all apart again, packed it up properly and sent it back. And I have to say, the service was excellent. I called up, was given a return number and the option to print a prepaid return label, so it was really easy to take the parcel to the post office and send it back. Now I’m waiting for my refund and hope that goes smoothly too. I can definitely recommend the box, and Bitiba as a retailer too... just make sure to check the size of your boot frame 😀
