Product description

As your dog gets older, its nutritional needs will change, meaning you will need to adjust its diet accordingly to keep it happy and healthy. This dish uses premium protein to keep your dog active.

Markus Mühle Black Angus Senior Dog is a complete kibble designed specifically to meet the needs of your ageing dog, using a selection of the finest animal protein, beneficial vegetables and top-quality carbohydrate.

Every ingredient in this food comes straight from nature and undergoes a cold-pressing process to maintain the goodness of the protein and carbohydrate. This avoids high cooking-temperatures and keeps the food as nutritious as possible. It helps to retain key nutrients so that this food is as beneficial to your dog as if it were eating it in the wild.

Markus Mühle Black Angus Senior Dog contains no chemical additives such as colours, flavourings or preservatives. This not only makes it fabulously natural but makes it easier for your dog to digest. Every wholesome ingredient combines to offer your dog an irresistible taste sensation.

  • Suitable for large dogs over 6 years, and small dogs over 7 years
  • Cold water pressing process
  • All raw ingredients are mixed and pressed into pellets without the use of steam or high temperatures, preserving the natural chemical structures and biological effects of herbs, carbohydrates and muscle meat extract.
  • Carbohydrate and fibre
Can help to regulate energy intake, optimize intestinal function, support the digestion and strengthen the immune system.
  • Proteins from beef, duck and herring
High quality, easily digested protein sources can encourage healthy growth and strengthen muscles. Herring provides essential oils that help to stimulate the metabolism and support cell production.
  • Herbs, berries, roots and seeds
These plant ingredients provide vitalising phytonutrients for healthy functioning of the eyes, liver, digestion, nervous system and immune system.
  • Green-lipped mussel extract
Rich in chondroitin sulphate and glucosaminoglycans which can reduce cartilage wear stimulate cartilage cell regeneration. Contains a high proportion of EPA/DHA fatty acids, which can also protect the joints.
  • No inorganic materials
such as calcium carbonate or feeding lime
  • Contains no chemical colouring, attractants or preservatives
  • No genetically modified ingredients
The Markus Mühle nutritionists believe that the best diet for your dog is one that sticks as closely as possible to that it would eat in the wild. This idea is supported by veterinarians, a dog kennels director and various dog breeders, which caused them to produce this Markus Mühle kibble.

Markus Mühle Black Angus Senior Dog has been designed in particular with the needs of your older dog in mind, meeting additional requirements such as joint support and kidney care. It contains vital extracts from plants such as grapeseed, marigold and ginseng, all known to improve cell health and keep organs functioning properly.

  • Ginseng and grape seed extract
Ginseng root provides a boost to the body’s natural defences. Grape seed extract is rich in polyphenols, which reduce cell oxidization, protecting the DNA of the cell nucleus. This can have a positive effect on the aging of cells.
  • Herring
Contains essential Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, which can stimulate the metabolism and help the body to produce and maintain healthy cell walls.
  • Marigold extract
Rich in lutein for healthy vision, and contains an optimal combination of specific antioxidants including vitamin E which can stabilize and strengthen the immune system.
  • Duck & Angus Beef
Delicious and well accepted protein sources, ideal for dogs with food intolerances or fussy eaters.
  • Brown wholegrain rice
An easily digested carbohydrate source, which provides optimal energy release and helps your dog to maintain a healthy weight.
Please note: As there are no nasty chemical preservatives in this Markus Mühle food (as well as no colourings, flavours or GMOs), you can only store it for up to 8 months after the production date listed.

Would not eat
I tried getting her to eat this food so many different ways. Adding water, adding fish oils, adding meat. Nothing would work

amazing food
I was looking for a top quality food but without the horrendous price tag ! So I gave this a try for my four muppets ! Two terriers and two elderly cocker spaniels , the result is awesome shiny , coats , firm stools and loads of energy , I do add a little warm water to it first as it seems a tad dry and they wolf it down , licking every morsel that may be left behind ! This brand is a keeper for me !

great value, quality food
I've been feeding MM for some time now, initially to get some weight on a skinny GSD & then for a dog with megaoesophagus. Both are active, deep chested dogs, which makes them prone to bloat/torsion. I only feed 1/2 volume of MM compared to their previous kibble, so hopefully this reduces the risks. Dogs look good and love the food (although I've yet to find something they won't eat!). Make sure you weigh the ration as it's very dense and easy to overfeed if you are used to feeding expanded kibble.

Markus Muhle
I changed my labradoodle from a raw diet to Markus Muhle and I am very happy with it. My dog licks her bowl clean and her coat is much shinier and healthier now.

excellent quality
our sprocker and cocker are in no way fussy eaters, they were doing ok on wagg but poo was too frequent!have just finished my first bag of Markus Muhle and have been very impressed. big kibble to slow down their eating, loads of energy on walks, poo like bullets and shiny coats. The ingredients read well, no fillers or wheat. the cocker who is nearly 9 is now on the black angus senior, same quality kibble but too soon to comment. if you try either make sure you weigh it first, very heavy kibble.

Thriving on it
After reviewing the nutritional value of this food and considering its price, we put our 5 year old Jack Russell on it about 18 months ago. Admittedly she will eat anything vaguely edible (except mushrooms, raw or cooked?!) and wolfs this down whole, even from a restricted access bowl, but with its soft nature, and a bit of water added, this has given her no trouble. We do ration her water immediately after feeding, as she tends to drink all that is available and ends up bloated - this may be her nature, or due to the dry food. As she's very active, we give her slightly more than the recommended amount and her weight has remained stable. She is very fit and healthy (and 'regular'!).

Perfect
I have been giving my three dogs this for two months now.. Stools firmer and less.. shiny coats.. they love it.. I feel better knowing they are getting a top notch food. Did take a while to transition them had to lower it a little bit after one increase due to loose stools and sickness.. but once we were there they were fit and well and I can see the difference. One of my dogs was a rescue and badly scarred.. I went to show someone the other day were his scars were on his legs and I could no longer see them... Could be the food I dont know?!

Dogs happy to eat it
My Golden Retriever and cockapoo seem to like this food and are doing well after about 4 months on the food. Lost a star because of excessive amount of powdered food at the bottom of the sack.Service from Bitiba and yodel very good.
