Although there are biodegradable products that are advertised as being compostable, there are strict regulations for disposal in organic waste that can vary depending on where you live. Due to the possible presence of bacteria, disposal in your own compost isn't recommended. Can cat litter be flushed down the toilet? This should be strongly discouraged, since the granules can settle in the pipes and block them.
